While Chick-fil-A may seem like they only serve lunch and dinner, you’d be surprised to learn this fast food chain also serves a delicious breakfast. On the Chick-fil-A breakfast menu, you’ll find popular items like the Chicken Biscuit sandwich, the Egg White Grill, and the Chicken, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. However, the thing with Chick-fil-A breakfast items is that most (but not all) are NOT served all day. Unlike Whataburger, for instance, the vast majority of breakfast items are only served first thing in the morning. So, if you are interested in trying out some of these yummy breakfast items, learn more about the Chick-fil-A breakfast hours so you can start your day off right.

Does Chick-fil-A Ever Offer a Free Breakfast?

Yes.

My local Chick-fil-A actually has a huge poster on the outside wall advertising a free breakfast EVERY Wednesday.

When I inquired on how it worked, I was told they hand out either a Chicken Biscuit Sandwich or a 4 count Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis every Wednesday between 6:30 – 10:30 am, no purchase required.

The friendly employee also said to come early if possible as the drive-thru lines gets really long by 9 am.

Check if your local Chick-fil-A offers something similar because it’s hard to beat free.

Can I Order Lunch Items During Breakfast Hours?

Unfortunately, no.

You cannot order Chick-fil-A lunch items during their breakfast hours.

You’ll have to wait until after 10:30 A.M. to order any of your favorite lunch items.

Can I Order Breakfast From Their App?

Yes.

You can order Chick-fil-A breakfast items from both their app and their online menu on their website here.

On both the app and their website, you can choose to pick-up your breakfast items either via their drive-thru, carry-out, or curbside.

Can I Get Breakfast via a Food Delivery Service?

Yes.

You can also order your Chick-fil-A breakfast via a food delivery service like Uber Eats, DoorDash, Postmates, or Grubhub.

Just be sure to order any breakfast items you want during the designated breakfast hours between 6 A.M. and 10:30 A.M.

Are Any Breakfast Items Available All Day?

Yes.

There are some breakfast items (but not all) that you can order all day long.

Are There Any “Secret Menu” Breakfast Items?

Yes and no.

While I’ve written about the unofficial Chick-fil-A secret menu, they’ve never posted anything official.

But there are definitely some unique “menu customizations” you can create with their breakfast items.

A few clever and tasty breakfast secret menu customizations include the following:

Biscuits with Sausage Gravy: According to a commenter on my secret menu article, when dining for breakfast, be brave and ask for a “biscuit with sausage gravy”. I was told you might have to wait a few minutes for them get the gravy ready…but worth every second.

Grilled Chicken Bagel: Order an Egg White Grill, ask for a bagel with cream cheese (not an English muffin), add Colby Jack (not American cheese), and add tomato to make this yummy bagel. (Credit to the Krazy Gals from Boise).

Spicy Chicken, Egg & Cheese Biscuit: Order the Chicken, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, ask for a spicy chicken patty (not the original chicken patty), and consider adding sriracha or tomato. (Again, credit to the Krazy Gals from Boise).

Stuffed Mini Breakfast Sandwich: Order both Chick-N-Minis and hash browns from the menu. Then, take the hash browns (slather with dipping sauce if you’d like) and stuff them inside the sandwiches. (Credit to the Kelsey from the Menu Hacks Blog).

Does Chick-fil-A Serve Coffee?

Yes.

Chick-fil-A serves hot, iced, and frosted coffee so you can pick the exact coffee option you want.

However, keep in mind that iced coffee (priced at $3.15) and frosted coffee (priced at $4.19) are more expensive than their regular hot coffee (priced at $2.09).

Is Coffee Only Available for Breakfast?

No.

Chick-fil-A serves coffee and iced coffee all day long.

So, whether you need your caffeine during or after Chick-fil-A’s breakfast hours, know you can always stop to get your coffee fix.

Ask the Reader: Are you a fan of the breakfast at Chick-fil-A? If so, do you wish their breakfast hours were all day long?

Whether you’re craving one of Starbucks delicious coffees, teas, or bakery treats, they have a wide variety of regular and secret menu items that are yummy. But did you know they have a hot drink that’ll actually help you out when you’re under the weather with a nasty cold? Enter the Starbucks Medicine Ball. From helping fight off colds to providing customers with a kick of caffeine to go about their day, the Medicine Ball drink at Starbucks is a tasty beverage with some great side-benefits. Read on to learn how to order this mysterious hot drink and what the actual ingredients are.

How to Order a Starbucks Medicine Ball + Price and Ingredients

What Exactly is the Medicine Ball?

The Medicine Ball drink at Starbucks is made of 5 ingredients:

  • Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea
  • Peach Tranquility Herbal Tea
  • Hot water
  • Steamed lemonade
  • A bit of honey

PRO TIP: NOT A HEALTHY CHOICE

You order the Medicine Ball when you got a nasty cold, not when you’re A1C blood test comes back on the higher side. A 16 oz Grande comes with a whooping 30 grams of sugar, mostly from the lemonade that they add. From this Barista, a healthier choice is ordering a Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea and add honey. Your sore throat will get the same effect, just without the unnecessary sugar.

Is It On the Regular or “Secret” Menu?

The Medicine ball drink used to be a part of Starbucks secret menu.

However, due to the popularity of this secret menu item, this drink is now part of the regular menu as the Honey Citrus Mint Tea, under their Green tea menu category.

What Are the Other Names For the Medicine Ball?

Honey Citrus Mint Tea.

Today, the Medicine Ball drink at Starbucks is on the regular menu and is referred to as the “Honey Citrus Mint Tea”.

Another name for the drink is the Starbucks Coldbuster, and some baristas, especially those that’ve been around for awhile, will know it best by this name.

The Health Benefits

The Medicine Ball drink, otherwise known as the Starbucks Coldbuster, is popular for, as the name suggests, warding off a cold.

The mint in the tea is supposed to help open up your nasal passages and clear your sinuses and the honey will soothe your throat.

Here is a breakdown of how the different Honey Citrus Mint Tea (aka Medicine Ball drink) ingredients can help you ward off a nasty cold:

Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea: Has many life-saving benefits from helping to detox the body while helping fight chest congestion, cough, and sore throat.

Peach Tranquility Herbal Tea: Rich in antioxidants, helps with detoxification and is overall great for your immune system.

Lemonade: Lemonade helps boost the immune system and provides a great daily supply of Vitamin C. Lot so sugar thought.

Honey: Helps serve as a cough suppressant.

But…keep in mind that if you are REALLY sick, following the advice of this Barista, and take your “germs back home” and go see your doctor.

PRO TIP: TAKE THE LID OFF

The proper way to drink a Medicine Ball is to take the lid off and breathe in the steam. Making it humid and getting those vapors in your sinuses will help. Keeping the lid on won’t help with that, but the honey will soothe your throat.

You CAN Order It By Name

Because the Honey Citrus Mint Tea (formerly known as the Medicine Ball drink while on the secret menu) is now part of the regular menu, baristas will know your order by name.

If you refer to the drink as the “Medicine Ball” drink, some more experienced Starbucks baristas may know what you are referring to.

If not, ask for the “Honey Citrus Mint Tea”.

Nutritional Facts and Calories

The Honey Citrus Mint Tea is an extremely healthy drink that is a great beverage to help fight off a nasty cold.

The drink contains about 130 calories (this may change depending on size and any customizations).

Here is a brief breakdown of a Grande-sized Medicine Ball drink’s nutritional facts:

  • 130 calories
  • Total fat: 0 g
  • Cholesterol: 0 mg
  • Sodium: 10 mg
  • Total carbohydrates: 32 g
  • Protein: 0 g
  • Caffeine: 16 mg

PRO TIP: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT

Before you leave Hobby Lobby, check your receipt to make sure your items were rung up correctly and you got the sale price. Because items go “on and off” sale so frequently, they’re notorious for having a system that can’t keep up and often you won’t get the sale price when you should have. Check your receipt and head back to the register if something doesn’t look right.

Most sale items are at least 30% off.

Depending on the specific time of year or day, you can often expect to save anywhere from 30%-50% off items, item dependent of course.

PRO TIP: CAREFULLY READ SALE SIGNS

Many “Sale” signs at Hobby Lobby are deceptive. They often place signage directly above or near a product, but the sign doesn’t actually apply. You NEED to read the fine print to make sure the item you want is actually on sale. Otherwise, you stand a good chance of being disappointed when your items are rung up and your total is much higher than you were expecting.

When Does Yarn Go On Sale?

My mom LOVES to crochet and make scarves for the entire family.

So much so that I have enough scarves to wear a different one each day of winter, or so it feels.

So when writing this article, I asked her where she buys her yarn, and she said, “Only when it’s on sale at Hobby Lobby”.

I then asked her how she knows when it’s on sale, and she said, “from following my friends at r/Crochet on Reddit“.

She said members always “drop the knowledge” on when yarn is about to go on sale and their insider tips save her 75%.

On a side-note, I still can’t believe my mom has the Reddit app on her iPhone, but it’s obviously saving her money, so more power to her.

Is There a Seasonal Sale Schedule? What Holidays?

Yes.

Hobby Lobby does have both a seasonal sale schedule and a holiday sale schedule where you can expect big savings as listed earlier in this article.

The 7 Holidays where you can expect big savings at Hobby Lobby include the following:

  • Valentine’s Day
  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Easter
  • 4th of July
  • Halloween
  • Christmas
  • New Year’s Day

Post-Christmas sales are some of the best in terms of overall savings.

Is After-Christmas the Best Time to Shop for Xmas Décor?

Yes.

Hobby Lobby runs a series of Christmas clearance schedule sales where the after-Christmas sales are greater than leading up to Christmas.

Therefore, the best time to shop for Christmas décor is after Christmas.

Here are the Christmas clearance schedule sales to expect at Hobby Lobby:

  • Begins December 13th – 66% off.
  • Begins December 21st – 80% off.
  • Begins January 5th – 90% off.

While the clearance items may be a little picked over by January 5th, the savings is incredible as the stuff is practically free.

Can Shoppers use a Hobby Lobby Coupon with Sale Items?

No.

Unfortunately, you cannot use a Hobby Lobby coupon with sale items.

This is because their coupons have restrictions and they can ONLY be used on regular-price items.

To access their current coupons, check out this page and look for a coupon attached to their weekly ad.

Ask the Reader: How do you save money at Hobby Lobby? Do you know something about their sale schedule that I missed?
